Background
Malaikas Education and Resourcing Consultants (MERC) is a young and wholly black-owned company in the consulting sector. We specialise in broad areas of education and training (skills development), healthcare and business management consultancy, recruitment and e-sourcing services. The key to all activities is the provision of home-based care support to NGOs.
Malaikas offers a comprehensive approach to support organisations to achieve their strategic objectives. Through a participative and nurturing approach with our clients Malaikas brings out the best in the employees, who are the most valuable assets in every organisation, thereby contributing to the bottom line.

Through the well-positioned leadership of Malaikas and our staff compliment of 7 people and an exceptionally high-calibre network of professional associates, Malaikas makes it happen, with the philosophy of delivering consistently on service excellence and exceeding customer expectations.
The word Malaika means angel and this is the driving philosophy behind the work of the company. All outputs must be meaningful, enshrined in values of honesty and care, and be angelic in nature.
Malaikas, which was conceived in 2004, is the realisation of a long-held dream of Hafisa Ally, who has decades of healthcare management and leadership, business management and education / training experience.
The objective from inception has been the development of premier comprehensive healthcare and business management consultancy services, training / development, and recruitment services to enhance functionality of organisations, and skills of people to enhance employability, productivity and realisation of organisational objectives for a better life for all.
Staff Profile
The management team is made up of two directors. Mrs Ally has held leadership and management positions at various companies before forming the consulting firm. The management style of the leadership is participative, results and performance driven.
Malaikas aims to provide the highest quality of services to all clients, by utilising the best people, best operating practices, and exceeding the client’s expectations in a cost-effective yet professional manner.
Ownership and BEE Profile
Malaikas is a 100% BEE-owned company formed in line with the government’s Black Economic Empowerment strategy of creating an economically viable skills base of black professionals and black ownership.
Ninety percent of the shareholding and company leadership is vested in black women who want to make a difference to the skills base of the people of South Africa.
